Dear Friend,
I want to share with you one of the most encouraging and faith-building promises in all of scripture. It’s a promise I remind myself on a regular basis…and I want to encourage you to do the same. Because when you make the choice to believe the truth, there is no challenge or obstacle that can hold you back from doing what God has called you to do.
Whatever you might be facing today, let me remind you… Your battles belong to the Lord! You’re not on the battlefield alone. You haven’t been left to fight in your own strength. You don’t have to have all the answers ahead of time. Best news ever – God is with you. And God is fighting for you.
I love what Joshua told the people of Israel after spying out the Promised Land in Numbers 14:9 – he said, “…the Lord is with us. Do not be afraid of them.” This message is for us today!!
- If you’re facing a potential health crisis
- When people attack you with their words or actions
- If there is a challenge at work that has you feeling unsure
- When fear, worry or anxiety come knocking on your door
Just remember: The Lord is with you. Do not be afraid.
There have been so many times when I have seen God fight my battles for me. In every instance, He has shown me what He wanted me to do – I had a part to play. But when you and I do our part, God always does His part-the part we could never do ourselves. The part I play – being in the Word – consistenly, listening for His voice and praying for wisdom. When God fights your battles, the result is ALWAYS victory!
p.s. The outcome is always better than I could have imagined.
This is so amazingly true! When we first heard my 23 year old daughter had cancer, after they removed the rumor. They saw it was very aggressive and chemo was her chance to survive. As I watched her lay on the floor in pain, cry as her beautiful hair fell out, vomit, suffer thru a horrible few months, I had asked God to give me a strength I didn’t even know I had…and he did. There were no tears, no anger, no believing she would die. I still can not believe the person I became. I thank God for giving me what I needed to help her through it.
What a beautiful testimony of God’s strength and your faith.
