Did you know that Proverbs is one of the most read books in the Bible, and one of the most practical? Proverbs is the greatest how-to book ever written, and those who have the good sense to take its lesson to heart will quickly discover godliness, prosperity, and contentment are theirs for the asking.
In Proverbs 19:21 – You can make many plans, but the Lord’s purpose will prevail and 20:24 – The Lord directs our steps, so why try to understand everything along the way? These verses are my favorite. These two verses allow us to put our hope in God knowing He is in control of this world and our lives. Constantly in your life, circumstances and people change, and we really just have learn to adapt. Life is full of changes and challenges. Things do not always work out the way we want them to, and even if you are the most adaptable person in the world, life is going to throw you a few curveballs, and you’re going to strike out once or twice. Or every time.
What we need to store in our hearts in the midst of change (whether it’s good or bad change!) is that His purpose prevails. Try as we might, we cannot avoid change, but when it’s from Him it’s always going to be good.
