God Never Changes
We can find solace in the one true constant in an ever-changing world: God never changes. He is the same as in the beginning and will be forever, providing us with a secure anchor amidst life’s uncertainties.
Most everyone will agree that in our lifetime, change is inevitable – a change of seasons, a change of jobs, a change in appearance as we grow older, and a change of heart as we experience both good and trying times. Some changes are for our benefit, while others, such as the loss of a loved one or a sudden illness, test our faith. That is why it’s so assuring to know One who has never changed and never will – JESUS. He is unwavering in His devotion, steadfast in His promises, and eternal in His love. In Psalm 108, David says, For your faithful love is higher than the heavens, and your faithfulness reaches the clouds. He is the only Rock that won’t be moved or manipulated. Ever. Let us all shout praise to Him!
Among the many chapters in the Bible, Revelation, Chapter 4 holds a special place in my heart. In this chapter, John is granted a glimpse into the Throne Room, where God is seated, surrounded by perpetual praise. This vision, untouched by the chaos of the world, fills me with a profound sense of awe and reverence. It deepens my faith and trust in the One who reigns from His throne, unchanging and eternal.
Dear Lord, thank goodness that the people in my life and the circumstances around me have changed; you remain constant and secure. This knowledge fills me with relief and gratitude. I place my hope and trust in you.
